The WePROTECT Global Alliance partnered with the Centre for Child Protection at the Pontifical Gregorian University and Telefono Azzurro to bring together academic experts, technology industry leaders, leaders of civil society, government figures and religious representatives from around the world to tackle the global problem of online child exploitation and abuse. The pioneering congress provided a historic opportunity to set the global agenda for the fight against online crimes against children and for child protection in the digital world.

The congress culminated in the ceremonial signing of a Declaration of Rome entitled “Declaration on Child Dignity in the Digital World,” a call to action comprised of 13 agenda items to further the cause of ending online child exploitation. You can read the Declaration here.
