Leadership
Creating change, especially complex cross-sectoral change, requires sophisticated leadership at a senior level, within governments and in the private sector.
This includes allocating appropriate resources (human, financial and technical) to assess and prevent sexual exploitation and abuse online.
Support from senior leaders shows that this is a priority issue and that protection of children online should be built into all digital tools. This then needs to be backed up with strong legal frameworks and policy, robust law enforcement and criminal justice response, and easily accessible support for victims and survivors.
