WeProtect Global Alliance has partnered with Apolitical to offer the 2021-2022 WeProtect Global Alliance Fellowship, an interactive, fully online programme focusing on 21st century skills and knowledge to support an exclusive cohort of public servants committed to ending child sexual exploitation and abuse online.
There are two fellowships being offered simultaneously to a cohort of 30 fellows each from Latin America and the Middle East.
Fellowship participants will receive:
- Three live exchanges where you will learn from and interact with global experts and your peers in the region (translations in Spanish and Arabic for respective regions will be provided at these live exchanges)
- Resources, tools and best practices to support you in your work to end child sexual abuse and exploitation online, utilising both global and national frameworks
- One year’s full access to Apolitical’s essential government curriculum (18+ courses) for a 21st century public service learning experience
- Full access to WeProtect Global Alliance Protectors’ Portal for collaboration and knowledge sharing
Complete this application form today to learn more – only 30 spaces are available in each regional fellowship!
Through the exchanges, you will have an incredible opportunity to shape the agenda and conversations at the annual WeProtect Global Alliance summit, due to be held in March 2022. (For an example of a past global summit, see the 2019 Summit here.) Select participants will also have an opportunity to present a case study at the summit.
You will only be required to attend the three live exchanges (one hour per month). While you are encouraged to spend some additional time reading and engaging with peers asynchronously, you can choose to engage as much or as little, and at your own convenience, with the rest of the program.
Register your interest and sign up to receive additional information here.
The deadline for applications is 15 September 2021. Each fellowship is limited to 30 participants.
Past fellows found knowledge and camaraderie in the 2020 fellowship program:

“In the beginning, I felt so exhausted and did not know where to begin but there was something in my mind that I must do something for Child exploitation on the internet. Everything has come to me as I wish, I have the chance to join the ASEAN conferences, chance to meet you and join the COP class. It helped me very much and I would like to say thank you to you and all the WeProtect Global Alliance Team, the friends from all countries in the class.”Official, Ministry of Information and Communication, Vietnam
