Global Threat Assessment 2025 Webinar Series: AI & Emerging Technology

29 April 2026 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm BST

(14.00 BST; 17.00 EAT; 09.00 ET)

About the event

The second webinar in our Global Threat Assessment series focuses on the growing impact, both positive and negative, of artificial intelligence (AI), and developments in emerging technologies, such as quantum computing, on technology-facilitated child sexual abuse and exploitation (TF-CSEA). As these technologies continue to evolve at pace, understanding their implications for child safety is critical.

Artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies are reshaping the landscape of TF-CSEA in profound and rapidly evolving ways. From the AI-driven production and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the potential risks posed by quantum computing, decentralisation, and extended reality (XR), the threats to child safety are becoming increasingly complex and wide-ranging. This webinar brings together leading experts and practitioners to explore these critical issues in depth.

The series of GTA webinars aims to bring together members and other key stakeholders to deepen their understanding of the report’s findings, provide opportunities for meaningful dialogue, and inspire actionable steps for implementation within their respective fields.
